Excellence in Water Treatment
Every system we install starts with a question: what’s actually in your water? The answer drives everything — the design, the media, the staging, the programming. No guessing. No generic packages.
Aging system with iron breakthrough → Custom 3-stage iron and sulfur treatment, installed same day
We test hardness, iron, pH, TDS, chlorine, manganese, and sulfur at your tap. Then we explain what the numbers mean — and design the exact treatment stages to fix it. Commercial-grade control valves. Custom-Designed Media. Sized to your home’s flow and usage.

Iron in water leaves rust stains on fixtures, sinks, toilets, and laundry
Iron Removal →Hydrogen sulfide gas creates strong sulfur odor in hot and cold water
Sulfur Removal →Calcium and magnesium build up on fixtures, pipes, and water heaters
Water Softeners →Municipal treatment chemicals affect taste, odor, and skin comfort
Treatment Options →Emerging contaminants in many municipal and well water supplies across PA
PFAS Filtration →Every service starts with professional water analysis. We identify the problem, then engineer the solution — not the other way around.

Water treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all. Different contaminants require different chemistry, different media, and different system designs. Here’s what we actually test and why it matters.
Iron above 0.3 mg/L causes visible staining. Manganese above 0.05 mg/L creates black residue. But the treatment approach depends on whether the iron is ferrous (dissolved) or ferric (particulate), the pH level, and whether hydrogen sulfide is also present.
What we test: Iron (ferrous/ferric), manganese, pH, dissolved oxygen, alkalinity
That rotten egg smell is hydrogen sulfide gas — even trace amounts (0.5 ppm) are noticeable. Effective treatment requires knowing the concentration, whether sulfur bacteria are present, and the water’s pH and iron levels, because all of these affect which oxidation method works.
What we test: H₂S concentration, sulfur bacteria presence, pH, iron co-occurrence
Water above 7 GPG is considered hard. At 15+ GPG — common across Southwestern PA — scale destroys water heaters, clogs pipes, and wastes energy. Proper softener sizing requires knowing your hardness, iron load, peak flow demand, and household size.
What we test: Total hardness (GPG), calcium, magnesium, TDS, flow rate
Pennsylvania well water frequently tests acidic (pH 5.5–6.5). Acidic water corrodes copper pipes, leaches metals, and makes other treatment media less effective. pH correction is often the critical first stage that makes everything else work properly.
What we test: pH, alkalinity, copper/lead indicators, corrosion potential
Municipal water is treated with chlorine or chloramines for safety at the plant — but you don’t need to drink or bathe in it at home. Total dissolved solids (TDS) above 500 ppm affects taste and may indicate additional dissolved minerals requiring treatment.
What we test: Free/total chlorine, chloramines, TDS, taste/odor profile
PFAS (“forever chemicals”) are found in water supplies across Pennsylvania. The EPA has set limits at 4 parts per trillion for some PFAS compounds. Effective removal requires specific filtration methods — reverse osmosis and certain activated carbon configurations.
What we recommend: Lab analysis, RO systems with verified PFAS reduction
This is why we test before we recommend.
Every contaminant interacts with others. A system designed without testing is a guess — and guesses fail. Our engineering-first approach means your system is designed for your water, not a brochure.
Water Testing & Treatment ConsultationEvery county has its own water chemistry profile. Here’s what we see most often — and how we treat it.
Heavy iron and sulfur in well water across Unity, Ligonier, Derry, and Latrobe. Coal seam geology drives low pH and high hydrogen sulfide. Most homes need staged treatment.
Mix of municipal chlorine taste issues in urban areas and hard water + iron in eastern suburbs like Plum, Penn Hills, and Monroeville. PFAS concerns growing in some municipal supplies.
Widespread hard water and sulfur in rural wells. Former mining regions show elevated iron and manganese. Many homes on older wells with no existing treatment.
Coal country water challenges — low pH, iron, and sulfur dominate. Many wells test below pH 6.0 requiring acid neutralization as a critical first treatment stage before other filtration.
Northern suburbs and rural areas deal with extremely hard water (20+ GPG common) plus iron. Growing communities on new wells often discover issues only after moving in.
Mountain well water with high iron, sulfur, and acidity. Laurel Highlands geology produces some of the most challenging water chemistry in the region. Multi-stage treatment is typically required.
